Terms of service

These terms apply when you use the ghosthand app, CLI, MCP server and HTTP API, and the website ghosthand.dev (together, "ghosthand"). ghosthand is run by Tommaso De Rossi ("we"). If you use ghosthand, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for every Mac signed in with your account and for every MCP client you allow on the consent page. Sign out a Mac from the dashboard or with ghosthand logout.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

Free and Pro plans

  • Every account is free for one iPhone, with no time limit. We can change what the free plan includes; we tell you by email at least 30 days before.
  • Ghosthand Pro is a monthly subscription per Mac. The current price and limits are on the pricing page.
  • Stripe processes payments. The subscription renews each month until you cancel in the Stripe portal.
  • A canceled plan stays active until the end of the paid month. We do not give refunds for partial months, except when the law requires it.
  • We can change the price. We tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to your subscription.

Source access

  • Pro subscribers can get read-only access to the private daemon repository on GitHub for one GitHub account.
  • The daemon code is licensed, not sold: read it and build it for Macs you control while you subscribe. Do not copy, publish, redistribute or sell it. The full text is in the repository's LICENSE.
  • Access ends when the subscription ends. Delete your copies then.

Acceptable use

ghosthand controls iPhones that you own or have permission to control. You must not use ghosthand to:
  • control a device without the permission of its owner;
  • break the law, or the terms of an app or service that you use on the iPhone;
  • send spam, commit fraud, or impersonate another person;
  • harass, track or record people without their consent;
  • attack, overload or reverse-engineer ghosthand.dev or the remote MCP server.
You are responsible for what your agents do on your iPhones. We can suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Your data

Screenshots, screen text and typed text stay on your Mac, except when they pass through the remote MCP server, which does not store them. See the privacy policy for what we store and how to delete it.

Changes and availability

We can change or stop features of ghosthand. If ghosthand.dev cannot be reached, the daemon allows new leases, so an outage on our side does not stop your agents.
We can update these terms. When the change is important, we tell you by email before it applies.

Warranty and liability

ghosthand is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data or lost profits, or for actions that agents take on your devices. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
